Course Structure

At Dai-e-Quran Academy, we cover all the dimensions mentioned above through structured classes led by qualified tutors who are well-versed in Islamic sciences. The aim is to equip students with knowledge and understanding of the Quran, facilitating both outer meanings (Tafsir) and the inner, concealed meanings (Tawil). While some scholars believe there is no difference between Tafsir and Tawil, understanding both dimensions is crucial for a well-rounded comprehension of the Quran.

Requirements for Mufassir

To effectively learn Tafsir, it's essential to understand the qualifications of a Mufassir (interpreter of the Quran). A Mufassir should:

  • Hold sound beliefs (‘aqida) grounded in Islamic theology.
  • Be proficient in Arabic and its grammatical rules.
  • Have knowledge of other relevant sciences, such as ‘ilm al-riwaya (science of narration).
  • Exhibit precise comprehension and analytical skills.
  • Avoid personal opinions in their interpretations.
  • Start their Tafsir with references from the Quran itself.
  • Seek guidance from the teachings and explanations of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.).
  • Consult reports from the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet) and the Tabi'un (successors).
  • Reference the opinions of established scholars.

Course Availability

Currently, our Learn Tafsir Online course is tailored for adults, but we are also excited to offer a specialized Tafsir course for children. Our aim is to ensure that students grasp the meanings of verses that convey direct commands from Allah (S.W.T.) to humanity. InshaAllah, we will soon be organizing group classes specifically for sisters, providing an inclusive learning environment.
